UP Health System – Marquette Welcomes Family Medicine Physician Lize Loubser, MD

UP Health System – Marquette (UPHS – Marquette) is excited to welcome Lize Loubser, MD, to UP Medical Group – Marquette | Family Medicine. Dr. Loubser is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a wealth of expertise and a patient-centered approach to caring for individuals of all ages.

Dr. Loubser specializes in preventative care, chronic disease management, prenatal care, obstetric care, pediatric care and women’s health. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive care and building lasting relationships with her patients to support their health and well-being throughout life’s stages.

“I love the opportunity to take care of women through the entire process of prenatal care, delivering their baby, and then taking care of their baby afterward as they grow,” said Dr. Loubser.

Family Medicine providers play a critical role in maintaining overall health by offering personalized care and managing various conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, mental health concerns, and more. Regular annual wellness visits are vital for tracking health milestones, identifying potential issues early, and staying current on screenings, immunizations, and other preventative measures.

Dr. Loubser earned her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit and completed her residency at Via Christi Family Medicine in Wichita, KS, where she served in several leadership roles.

When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Loubser enjoys rock climbing, cycling, salsa dancing, backpacking and cooking. She is embracing the natural beauty of the Upper Peninsula and engaging with the Marquette community.
