Locations
All three hospital locations offer 24-hour staffing for s-rays and CT. Some outlying clinics offer 3D mammography and digital s-ray services for treating minor injuries.
PET/CT Scanning Services:
All three hospital locations offer PET/CT scanning services.
Two MRI scanners make it possible to accommodate patients on evenings, weekends, and in situations when same-day imaging may save the patient an extra trip or an overnight stay in Marquette. MRI capabilities include brain, spinal cord, cardiac and musculoskeletal imaging. UP Health System offers multi-dimensional breast imaging with onsite interpretation and MRI-guided breast biopsy.
An onsite PET/CT scanner is used for cancer, cardiac and neurological imaging. Unlike other imaging methods, the PET/CT scanner reveals how cells and structures function, rather than how they look. PET/CT has changed the course of treatment for many cancer patients throughout the region.
CT scanners with dual-source imaging provide capabilities in advanced vascular imaging and intervention; cardiac imaging; interventional imaging and treatment; and trauma imaging. These scanners are changing the way patients receive care.
UP Health System – Interventional Radiology is a department of UP Health System. When you see a physician or receive services in a provider-based clinic, you are technically being treated in an outpatient department of the hospital rather than the physician’s office. Please refer to “Understanding your Healthcare Costs” to learn how your bill may be affected when seen by a provider in a provider-based clinic.
