What is your role at UPHS – Marquette? 

I am an emergency medicine physician at UP Health System – Marquette.

What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare? 

My inspiration for getting into healthcare comes from the two most important things in my life: faith and family.   

What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field? 

Every shift in the emergency department (ED) is different. You never know who is going to come through the door. Working in the ED is very gratifying—I am helping people on the worst days of their life. 

How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position? 

I have worked at UP Health System as an ER doctor since August of 2023.

What are some of the biggest changes you have experienced in this position?

Since I have only worked here since last August there haven’t been any huge changes yet, however, I am enjoying the transition to our new electronic medical record to better serve the Marquette community. 

What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem?

I love to bike, hike, and spend time with my family. I love the trails! I also really enjoy Little Presque Isle and Dead River Falls. 

What do you enjoy most about working at UPHS – Marquette? 

I enjoy my coworkers and our team in the emergency department.
