What is your title and role at UPHS – Bell? 

I am a float receptionist at UP Health System – Bell. 

What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?

I really enjoy working with people and my current job allows me to interact with people each and every day. 

What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field? 

Every day is a little different. Currently, I am working with the COVID line and most of my day consists of being on the phone, and working with patients to schedule COVID tests.

How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position?

I have been here since August. I am not always in the same position since I am a float- I have worked in the call center, medical records, and the walk-in clinics as the receptionist. 

What are some of your interests outside of work? What/where is your favorite local gem? 

I like to do meal prepping on the weekends, and every Friday night we get together with family and friends. During the summer months, we spend as much time outdoors riding our side by side. 

What do you enjoy most about working at UPHS – Bell? 

I really enjoy my wonderful team of coworkers, and I thank them for making work so enjoyable.
