UP Health System – Marquette Opens Second Registration Area to Improve Access and Reduce Walking Distance for Patients

MARQUETTE, Mich. (June 16, 2025) — UP Health System – Marquette has opened a second patient registration area to help improve access, reduce walking distances and enhance the overall patient experience.
The new registration space was created in response to feedback from patients and families who shared challenges navigating appointments at the hospital. With two registration locations now available, visitors can more easily access the services they need and choose the most convenient parking for their visit.

Park with Purpose
To make your visit easier, park in the lot that matches the location of your appointment. With two registration areas now available, choosing the right parking spot helps you get to your destination faster and with ease.
Main Registration (Near Hospital Parking Garage)
- Services: Surgery and procedures, cardiac services, pain clinic and sleep medicine
- Location: Near the parking garage
- Parking: Use the parking garage or Lot A (patient and visitor parking)
- Hours: 5:15 am – 4:30 pm
New East Registration (Near Main Hospital Entrance)
- Services: Imaging, laboratory, X-ray, EKG, diabetes and nutrition
- Location: Near the main hospital entrance
- Parking: Lot A or Lot B (patient and visitor parking)
- Hours: 7 am – 5:30 pm
Medical Office Building Access
The Medical Office Building, located on the west side of the hospital campus, is best accessed by parking in Lot A (patient and visitor parking). This lot offers the most direct access for patients with appointments in that building.

Visitors are encouraged to view the hospital campus parking map before arriving. Maps and parking guidance are available at UPHealthSystem.com under the patient guide section.
Ask for Assistance Upon Arrival
If mobility is a concern, don’t hesitate to request a wheelchair or escort assistance at the time of arrival. Our staff and volunteers are here to help you navigate comfortably from the entrance to your appointment location. Wheelchair assistance is available at every entrance—simply ask registration staff, and they’ll ensure you get the help you need.
Pre-Register Online for Faster Check-In
To reduce the time spent at registration, take advantage of our mobile pre-registration system. Before your visit, you can:
- Complete the required forms
- Confirm your insurance information
- Verify your personal details
Pre-registering allows you to skip several steps, making check-in quicker and more convenient when you arrive.
If you experience any issues with the kiosk, please ask a staff member for assistance. Traditional in-person registration remains available for those who prefer it.
