What is your role at UPHS?
I am a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Urology Clinic at UP Health System – Marquette.
What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to have a job in healthcare. I enjoy getting to know our patients. Nursing is such a rewarding profession, knowing that you are making a difference in someone's life.
What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field?
No day is really the same; we are a fast-paced clinic and see many patients with various conditions each day. This position has been very rewarding and has taught me a lot.
How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position?
I have been employed in the Urology Clinic for the past year, and an RN for almost two years.
What are some of the big changes you have experienced in this position?
The Urology team is continuously learning and working together to offer new procedures within the clinic setting and to help meet the needs of our patients.
What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, going to concerts, and soaking up the UP summer.
What do you enjoy most about working at UPHS – Marquette?
I enjoy connecting with our patients to help them reach their healthcare goals and needs.
