What is your role at UPHS – Marquette?
I am an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) wheelchair van driver at UP Health System – Marquette.
What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?
I have been in healthcare for nearly thirty years in various roles. I just recently started at UP Health System.
What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field?
A typical day for me involves transporting patients out of UP Health System to other facilities across the Upper Peninsula.
How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position?
I have worked here for two-and-a-half years now.
What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem?
Outside of work, I enjoy woodworking, collecting antique toys, and spending time with my pup, Tugg. My favorite place is the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter (UPAWS) dog park.
What do you enjoy most about working at UPHS – Marquette?
I enjoy traveling the Upper Peninsula and working with the people in EMS at the hospital. I appreciate learning something new every day from the amazing people here.
