There are a variety of circumstances in which an individual may need wound care. They include, but are not limited to:
- Acute or chronic wounds
- Diabetic wounds
- Surgical wounds
- Injuries from an accident
- Animal bites
- Infected wounds
- Skin grafts or surgical flaps

- Nail care for patients with diabetes mellitus
When seeing a staff member in our wound care clinic, an evaluation will take place to help with creating the right environment for the wound to heal.
What to expect
- Assess the wound
- Clean the wound
- Remove any tissue that could be hindering the healing process
- Educate the patient on caring for the dressing
- Set a schedule for continued care, if needed
