What is your role at UPHS – Marquette?

I am a computed tomography (CT) radiographer at the Medical Specialists Clinic at UP Health System – Marquette.

What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?

I love math, science and physics. Radiology was a perfect mix of patient care and nerd stuff.  

What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field?

 I work in the wild, wild west. Every day is something new and I love it! 

How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position?

I started in 2021 and I have been in the same position ever since.    

What are some of the big changes you have experienced in this position?  

I started on day shift, then...I went to the dark side (night shift). 

What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem? 

I love spending time outside, even in the winter! My husband and kids keep me busy and we are always finding fun things to do. My favorite place is Mother Superior.  

What do you enjoy most about working at UPHS – Marquette?

I love being in Marquette. I previously lived/worked outside of the UP for many years so I am happy to be home.
