UP Health System – Marquette (UPHS – Marquette) is pleased to welcome Daniel Shonnard, PA-C, to its Heart and Vascular Center team. Shonnard specializes in cardiovascular and preventive cardiology, providing comprehensive care for a wide range of heart and vascular conditions.
A native of Chassell, Michigan, Shonnard earned his Bachelor of Science in neuroscience from the University of Michigan–Ann Arbor and his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Concordia University Ann Arbor. Following graduation, he practiced with Michigan Heart and Vascular Institute where he gained experience caring for patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings alongside experienced physician mentors.
“My long-term vision has always been to return to the Upper Peninsula and practice in a rural setting,” said Shonnard. “After gaining valuable experience downstate, I’m excited to re-establish roots and serve the community that means so much to me. Building meaningful relationships with patients while helping them improve and protect their heart health is incredibly rewarding.”
Shonnard joins more than 30 physicians and providers at the UP Health System – Marquette Heart and Vascular Center, 850 W. Baraga Ave., Suite 20, Marquette, MI 49855.
