UP Health System – Marquette (UPHS – Marquette) is pleased to welcome Allison Blaksmith, PA-C, to its Cancer Center team. Blaksmith specializes in oncology and bone health, including osteoporosis treatment and cancer care, and is dedicated to supporting patients through complex health decisions with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Blaksmith earned her physician assistant degree and Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University.

“My family and I moved to the Upper Peninsula from Lansing 14 years ago and love every season of it,” Blaksmith said. “Marquette is home. The challenge of assisting our community members in navigating some of life’s toughest health decisions is ever-changing and very rewarding.”

Outside of work, Blaksmith enjoys staying active outdoors in all seasons, whether in snow, water or sun. She is also passionate about supporting her children’s extracurricular activities, which keeps her traveling throughout the Upper Peninsula.

Blaksmith will work closely with the UP Health System Cancer Center team, which includes hematologists/oncologists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists and oncology nurses, to provide care and develop treatment plans. The UPHS – Marquette Cancer Center is located at 850 W. Baraga Ave., Marquette, MI 49855.
