What is your role at UPHS – Bell?

I'm a registered nurse in the acute care unit.

What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?

My family taught me the importance of helping others, which guided me to pursue a healthcare career. I've always been driven by a chance to support people through their most vulnerable moments and help them get back to their own lives and families.              

What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field?

Patient-centered care, teamwork, 10,000 steps a day.

How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position?

I've been in the same role for the past one and a half years.

What are some of the big changes you have experienced in this position?  

There has been more consistency than changes. We have been consistently and successfully caring for swing beds and acute patients alike, ensuring that their goals are met and that a safe discharge plan is in place.

What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem? 

I like to spend time with family and friends, work out, and bake. My favorite spot to frequent is Congress Pizza.
