What is your role at UPHS – Marquette?

I am a clinical office clerk at UP Health System – Marquette.

What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?

My niece encouraged me to apply when she told me her office was hiring.

What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field?

It is fast-paced and definitely keeps you busy. Most days go by quickly, and before you know it, the week has flown by. 

How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position?

I have been employed for almost one year and have held the same position.

What are some of the big changes you have experienced in this position?  

The biggest change was being hired for one position and then transitioning into doing something a little different.

What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem? 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my dog, family and friends, and riding motorcycles. My favorite local gem is Lake Superior, especially rock hunting along the shore and exploring dirt roads in the woods.

What I enjoy most about working at UPHS – Marquette is helping and sharing a smile with patients and co-workers.
