UP Health System – Marquette Welcomes Interventional Cardiologist, Samir Dengle, MD

UP Health System is pleased to welcome board-certified interventional cardiologist Samir Dengle, M.D., to its Heart & Vascular Center at UP Health System – Marquette, a Duke LifePoint hospital.
Dr. Dengle specializes in advanced interventional and structural heart procedures, providing comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiovascular disease. His expertise includes diagnostic coronary angiography, complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), and procedures involving mechanical circulatory support such as intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) cannulation insertion.
He is also skilled in transcatheter valve therapies, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER/MitraClip) and transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR). In addition, Dr. Dengle performs structural heart and peripheral vascular procedures, including ASD/PFO closure, carotid artery stenting, and mechanical thrombectomy for pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
Dr. Dengle earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Texas. He completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Nuvance Health System – Danbury Hospital and a fellowship in interventional and structural cardiology at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, part of Boston University. He also served as chief resident during his internal medicine residency at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, Conn.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Dengle enjoys playing music, spending time outdoors, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
