UP Health System – Marquette (UPHS – Marquette) welcomes Justin Kleinschmidt, MSN, FNP-C, BSN, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, to its cardiology team at UP Medical Group – Marquette.

Kleinschmidt provides comprehensive cardiac care to adult and geriatric patients, focusing on preventive health, disease management and patient education. He is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal cardiovascular health and improving their overall well-being through individualized, compassionate care.

Kleinschmidt treats patients ages 19 and older and provides care for a wide range of conditions, including coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure and general cardiology. He also performs diagnostic testing, pacemaker placement, Holter monitoring, suture placement, punch biopsy, incision and drainage, foreign body removal and fluorescein stain application.

He earned a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Walden University in 2020 and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Michigan University in 2007.

A native of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Kleinschmidt says the region’s natural beauty and sense of community make it the perfect place to live and work. “I was born and raised in the U.P. — it’s home,” he said. “I am excited to join the high-quality cardiology team at UP Health System – Marquette and provide cardiac care to residents across the U.P.”

Outside of work, Kleinschmidt enjoys spending time with his family, friends and pets. He stays active through running, hiking and going to the gym, and he is an avid sports fan, especially of the Green Bay Packers.
