What is your role at UPHS – Marquette?

I am a medical assistant in Digestive and Liver at UPHS – Marquette.

What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?

I have always enjoyed working with and helping people, and healthcare is a great place to have the ability to do those things every day.

What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field?

A typical day for me consists of documenting important patient information and communicating with patients and our providers. 

How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position?

I have been employed at UPHS – Marquette since January 2025.

What are some of the big changes you've experienced in this position?

There have been some changes since I started, some of them being system or process changes, as well as staff and management changes.

What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem? 

There is not one specific place I frequent; however, Marquette has many beautiful sites to see.

What do you enjoy most about working at UPHS – Marquette?

I enjoy day-to-day interactions with patients and the ability to help care for our community.
