UP Health System – Marquette welcomes Cardiac Electrophysiologist Matthew Ebinger, DO

UP Health System – Marquette (UPHS – Marquette) is pleased to welcome Matthew Ebinger, D.O., to its cardiology team. Ebinger is a cardiac electrophysiologist specializing in internal medicine and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, providing care for patients with complex heart rhythm disorders. His areas of expertise include atrial fibrillation ablation, atrial fibrillation management, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) management, pacemaker placement, implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) placement, left atrial appendage occlusion device procedures, syncope, ventricular tachycardia and premature ventricular contractions (PVCs).
Ebinger earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Albion College. He has been board-certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine since 2006, bringing nearly two decades of experience to patients in the Upper Peninsula.
“I enjoy the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people and hear their personal stories,” Ebinger said. “I take pride in contributing to the improvement of cardiovascular health in our community.”
Ebinger was drawn to northern Michigan to explore new opportunities in cardiology. “I enjoy the outdoor activities here, the friendly people and the balance between work and life,” he said.
Outside of medicine, Ebinger enjoys fishing, biking and camping with family and friends.
