UP Health System – Marquette (UPHS – Marquette) is pleased to welcome Aaron Betz, PA-C, to its Respiratory and Sleep Medicine team. Betz diagnoses and treats patients with sleep disorders, with a special focus on sleep apnea and its impact on overall health and quality of life. He works closely with patients to identify the underlying causes of sleep disruptions and to provide individualized care plans designed to restore healthy, restful sleep.

Prior to joining UP Health System, he managed orthopedic trauma patients at Eastern Maine Medical Center and completed clinical rotations in internal medicine, family medicine, emergency medicine, surgery and cardiology. He also provided cardiopulmonary therapy, giving him insight into how sleep disorders can affect heart health.

Betz earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Studies, Physician Assistant Studies, from the University of Toledo in 2021. He completed his undergraduate degree at Bowling Green State University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2012.

“Sleep apnea is a condition that often goes undiagnosed, yet it can have a major impact on a person’s daily life,” Betz said. “I’m passionate about helping patients recognize the signs, find answers and take steps toward better sleep and better health.”

Betz is committed to ensuring patients feel supported throughout their care journey. “One of the things that drew me to the Upper Peninsula is how people here value both hard work and quality of life,” he said. “I’m excited to provide care in a community where patients truly take an active role in their health and well-being.”

Outside of work, Betz enjoys running, cheering on the Lions and Tigers and spending time outdoors.
