What is your role at UPHS – Marquette?

I am a food service worker in the kitchen.

What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare? 

For me, it’s a personal calling to help others make a difference. 

What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field?

I prepare food for staff and visitors and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.  I make sure all the food I prepare is properly labeled and rotated.

How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position?

I’ve been employed at the hospital for three and a half years now. No, my journey began in the dish room.

What are some of the big changes you've experienced in this position?

Meeting and interacting with a few people.  When we changed the menu, learning it.

What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem?

 I love going parasailing, ziplining and horseback riding.

What do you enjoy most about working at UPHS – Marquette?

I enjoy collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
