What is your role at UPHS – Bell?

I am a care aide in the Acute Care Unit.

What was your inspiration for getting into healthcare?

My grandma was a nurse and my mom also works in healthcare, which inspired me to do the same, along with taking HOSA my senior year of high school.

What’s a typical day like for you? What is it like working in this field?

A typical day here consists of assisting patients with different needs and helping them get stronger. It’s a good feeling to see a patient leave much better and stronger than when they first came in.

How long have you been employed here? Have you always been in the same position?

This June will mark one year of working here in the same position.

What are some of your interests outside of work? What is your favorite local gem?

I enjoy hiking and taking my dogs for walks, also kayaking or just being outside when it’s warm out.

What do you enjoy most about working at UPHS – Bell?

I enjoy knowing that every day will be a different day and having coworkers who are pleasant to be around.
