UP Health System – Portage is pleased to announce the addition of Toni Clisch, NP-C, to the Internal Medicine team. An employee of UP Health System – Portage for six years, Toni has held various roles within our hospital including working as a phlebotomist and a surgical nurse. 

Toni earned both an associate degree and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rasmussen University. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Purdue Global University. Board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Toni specializes in family practice, geriatrics, women’s health, annual wellness visits, acute care problems and management of chronic conditions. 

"Building relationships with my patients and finding solutions to help them heal is what I enjoy most about my job," said Toni. "As a surgery nurse, it was my responsibility to ensure my patients were comfortable prior to anesthesia, but my time with them was limited. Now, as a nurse practitioner, I have the privilege to improve the health of my patients and learn more about them through individualized care, patient education and evidence-based practices. I look forward to using my skills and experience to serve patients in the community."

Outside of work, Toni and her husband are busy raising their four children. "We are a big sports family, spending most of our free time at the hockey rink, dance studio, or football and baseball fields. I also enjoy reading books and spending time outdoors," she said.
