What was your first job?
While I was a senior in high school, I worked as a volunteer at the hospital during the weekends.  I was responsible for getting the trays ready, bringing them to the patients and cleaning up once they were finished. 

What is your favorite activity that is offered at PortagePointe?
The popular activity at PortagePointe is bingo. I enjoy bingo —  I participate in bingo seven days a week! 

What are some of the most important lessons you have learned in your life? 
The important life lessons that I have learned throughout my life are, to be myself, not take others for granted and always be willing to lend a hand and help others. 

What did you do for fun while growing up? 
While I was growing up, I spent a lot of time with my dog "blackie." We had a special bond that I will cherish forever. 

Tell us something interesting about yourself that people may not know about you.
I collected "Precious Moment" novelties for many years. I still have several of them and will change the collection based on seasons. I also enjoy giving them away to others where I feel they may be a good fit. 

What do you enjoy most about living at PortagePointe? 
The activities that are offered at PortagePointe are awesome and a lot of fun. I also really enjoy spending time in the gardens during the spring, summer and fall months — they are beautiful.
