UPHS - Portage Welcomes Douglas Sutcliffe, NP-C, to the Emergency Medicine Staff

HANCOCK, Mich. | UP Health System – Portage (UPHS – Portage) is pleased to welcome Douglas Sutcliffe, NP-C, to the Emergency Medicine staff. Douglas earned both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Nursing at Walden University and is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Douglas prioritizes treating patients like they are family. “People deserve to be treated like family because they simply deserve nothing less. And sometimes they are just that – family,” said Douglas. When considering joining the UPHS – Portage team, Douglas was drawn by outstanding leadership and the priority of delivering high-quality care.

Douglas is proud to call the Upper Peninsula home. “I love the pristine beauty of our natural surroundings and enjoy exploring the gems that are found within them,” stated Douglas. Outside of work, he enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, mountain biking, motorcycling, and traveling to national parks.
