What was your first job? 
My first job was farming when I was 18 years old. 

What is your favorite activity that is offered at PortagePointe? 
My favorite activity is bingo, but I also enjoy playing different card games. 

What are the most important lessons you have learned in your life?
The most important life lesson I have learned throughout my life is “being true to other people.” 

What did you do for fun when you were younger? 
My friends and I would always go roller skating at the sheep shed in South Dakota. 

Tell us something interesting about yourself that some people may not know about you.
I was a Ranger for the National Park Service for 30 years, and I was stationed at Isle Royale for 8 of those years. 

What do you enjoy most about living at PortagePointe? 
I get three meals a day, the bingo sessions are always a hit, and the staff are all gracious.
