Christopher Omerza, MD

Christopher Omerza, MD is a general surgeon specializing in robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques. His clinical interests include hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, colorectal disease, breast disease, endoscopy, and trauma and acute care surgery. He is committed to providing patient-centered care and works closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans focused on safety, quality outcomes, and recovery. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed a Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry at Albion College. Dr. Omerza sees patients at UP Health System - Marquette Surgical Associates, where he joins a team dedicated to providing advanced surgical care close to home for patients across the Upper Peninsula. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time outdoors, including hiking, biking, and snowboarding, and values the opportunity to live and practice in the Upper Peninsula community.
